We do supervise sledding and we remind students of safety rules on a regular basis.</p><p style="color:#000000;text-transform:none;text-indent:0px;letter-spacing:normal;font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;word-spacing:0px;white-space:normal;orphans:2;widows:2;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;">We want to inform parents that if students are sledding at school, Ophea (the Ontario Physical and Health Education Association) recommends that they should wear a properly fitted (as per manufacturer's guidelines) and properly worn CSA-approved hockey helmet or snow sport helmet certified by a recognized safety standards association.</p><p style="color:#000000;text-transform:none;text-indent:0px;letter-spacing:normal;font-family:"times new roman";font-size:medium;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;word-spacing:0px;white-space:normal;orphans:2;widows:2;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;">If you send a sled and helmet (optional) to school with your child, you are giving permission for your child to take part in this activity.</p>
