A Wonderful Year at Earl Rowe
The school year has flown by, and we are left with wonderful memories of fun-filled activities, friendships, and learning about ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
As we reflect on this 2019-20 year, all students, staff and parents/guardians at Earl Rowe, we can be proud of our accomplishments even in this time of change. What a year! Our students strive to do their best in the classroom, but also show their enthusiasm and skills in many other areas of school life. We have many among us who are talented athletes, artists, environmentalists, social activists, public speakers and leaders. Our Character Teams, our outdoor revitalization, our Eco Team as well as the numerous clubs and sports teams which have taken place this past year have enriched our school life and added much to our learning.
We take pride in the accomplishment of all of our students. We are certain that the learning they have done and the skills they have developed at Earl Rowe and through our Continuity of Learning will serve them well as they engage in the many activities that affect our school, our community and our world.
Congratulations to all students and many thanks to all teachers and staff who give of their time and energy to create a wonderful learning environment here at Earl Rowe and in our at-home program this year. Many thanks also to our committed School Council and parent community who work so hard to support our efforts. Our last few fundraising events were wonderful successes. Our chocolate fundraiser raised $2100 ,which will help support our sports, our technology updates and general school needs.
We would like to say Good bye to Mrs. Mckinney, Mrs. Gale from JK/SK, Mrs. McWhirter as our 0.1 planning time teacher and Mr.. Noudelman from 6/7 and thank them for all they have done for Earl Rowe staff and students. We wish Mrs. Bertram all the best as she retires this year and plans the next stage of her life. We thank her for all her work and dedication to Earl Rowe and SCDSB over her career. She has enriched so many lives and will be missed! Congratulations Mrs. Bertram! Welcome to Mrs. Hill in our grade 6/7 , Mrs. Daniels as a DECE in our Kindergarten, Mrs. McWhirter as our grade 3 teacher and Mrs. Gale to our new 0.1 Music position! As we role put our new specialized Music program, we would like to announce that Mme. Roussel will be working with Mrs. Gale to deliver our music program for all grades next year as well as to continue teaching our French program.
On behalf of the Earl Rowe staff, we wish our Grade 8 graduates great success in their future and much luck as they move on in their education. We hope you hold good memories of your time at Earl Rowe. Welcome to our new JK's who will be joining us on September 10th, 2020!
